Andrew is the President and Co-Founder of Sprucewood, leading the firm's structural engineering, construction oversight, and project management across custom residential and light industrial/commercial projects in Southwestern Ontario. A licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng), Andrew brings 19 years of building sector experience—institutional facilities, commercial structures, industrial systems—into his approach to integrated design-build delivery.
Since co-founding Sprucewood in 2023 with architect Brandon Martin, Andrew has directed structural design and construction delivery on custom homes and complex renovation projects, managing the full arc from proposal and design phase through construction completion. He leads structural decision-making, construction methodology, and site leadership, remaining hands-on with the technical and logistical challenges that shape delivery quality.
Andrew's expertise spans structural design in wood, steel, and concrete—material systems, load paths, code compliance, and constructability. His background in institutional and commercial engineering brings rigorous analysis and proven problem-solving to residential work. He works closely with Brandon on design coordination, ensuring structural intent aligns with architectural vision from concept forward.
As a Professional Engineer (Ontario), Andrew is responsible for all structural engineering decisions and certification on projects, ensuring every design meets or exceeds code requirements and reflects best practices in structural performance and longevity.

Brandon is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Sprucewood Homes Limited, leading the firm's architectural design, engineering coordination, and project delivery across custom residential and light commercial projects in Southwestern Ontario. Licensed with the Ontario Association of Architects as an Architect (Limited Scope, TCL), Brandon brings over 21 years of building sector experience—fire stations, educational facilities, net-zero energy buildings—into his approach to residential design-build.
Since co-founding Sprucewood in 2023 with structural engineer Andrew Zorko, Brandon has directed delivery of custom homes and complex renovation projects, managing the full arc from initial concept and architectural design through construction administration. He leads design direction, engineering coordination, and day-to-day operations, remaining hands-on with the technical and creative decisions that shape each project.
Brandon's expertise spans integrated design, net-zero and carbon-neutral building strategies, advanced building science, and material specification. He leverages the latest design technology—point cloud capturing, full BIM workflows in Revit Architecture, and augmented reality rendering—to coordinate design intent and construction logistics before breaking ground.
As a licensed Architect (Limited Scope, TCL), Brandon leads architectural services for residential and light commercial buildings—his defined practice areas where he provides full design and supervision. For projects requiring services beyond these parameters, he engages full-scope architects as collaborating specialists, ensuring comprehensive expertise on complex work. This approach allows him to serve as prime consultant on projects of any scale while maintaining rigorous standards of practice and transparent scope definition.

Rudy brings two decades of carpentry expertise to Sprucewood, built working alongside his father in the family carpentry business. That partnership taught him the fundamentals—how to read a space, frame it correctly, and solve problems with his hands. Those lessons haven't faded; they run through everything he does.
Over his years with Sprucewood, Rudy has become essential. He manages site operations, coordinates schedules and subcontractors, forecasts materials and labor, and leads crews with the quiet authority of someone who genuinely understands the work. But more than that, he still does the work. On any given day, he's framing walls, troubleshooting structural issues, and mentoring newer crew members—not because he has to, but because that's how you build a team and ensure quality.
That mentorship matters. Rudy teaches by example and by proximity. His crews learn not just technique but craftsmanship—the attention to detail and problem-solving that separates good work from work built to last. He's the kind of leader who earns respect because he's invested in the people around him and refuses to ask anyone to do work he wouldn't do himself.

Brent brings a diverse carpentry background to Sprucewood Homes, having built his expertise across both tract home builders and custom home builders. That dual experience means he understands how to deliver quality finishes on schedule—without compromising craftsmanship.
His skills span the full scope of interior finishing: trim installation, doors and windows, custom millwork, and cabinetry. Brent reads blueprints like language, works with architectural precision, and knows how to collaborate with designers and tradespeople to get details right. Whether it's crown molding, wainscoting, built-in shelving, or complex millwork, he approaches each piece with the same attention that separates a house from a home.
Beyond his own work, Brent mentors apprentices and other crew members on-site, passing along the skills and standards that make finishing work look effortless. He's equally comfortable picking up a power tool or a hand tool, troubleshooting a fit, and solving the kind of problems that only come up when you're building something real.
Paul Williamson

Paul brings 15 years of hands-on team management experience to Sprucewood. After spending over a decade leading operations and crew management at Raintree Irrigation, Paul transitioned his proven leadership skills to oversee our most critical projects—managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating crews, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining our rigorous health and safety protocols.
On-site, Paul is the connective tissue between vision and execution. He manages crew productivity, coordinates with consultants and clients, handles materials and logistics, and maintains the kind of quality control that turns blueprints into homes built to last. His background in team management means he leads with clarity, holds people accountable, and solves problems before they become bottlenecks.
Beyond project management, Paul ensures every Sprucewood site meets our health and safety standards. From safety briefings to compliance audits, he's committed to bringing every crew member home safely at the end of the day—something that matters deeply to him and to us.
